Fusako Shigenobu, the leader of JRA; Japanese
Red Army, was arrested Wednesday November
8 in Osaka, Japan. In the Nov.16 hearing
at the Tokyo District Court that was held
to put on record the reason for Shigenobu's
detention, she said, "I will fight and
keep on going," issuing a solidarity
message from behaind bars.
The Shigenobu's arrest by police is to crack
down on JRA. It is also against upsurge of
the Palestinian Intifada demanding to halt
the ongoing massacre by the Israeli Zionist
forces immediately. Imperialists try to cover
their bloody hands of own terrors, labeling
those who are fighting without fear of death
as "terrolists." Furthermore, public
security authorities try to oppress on alleged
JRA members, supporters or various kinds
of activists.
It is urgent for us, even if we are differnent
form JRA's political line, to start counter
campaigns & actions in the world as well
as in Japan against any oppression by police.
We ask you to join our joint appeal to go
fowards the nationwide & international
campaign beyond any antagonism with JRA.
Free Shigenobu Now!
Stop oppression to alleged JRA supporters!

Jun, Shirai
* The arrest of Shigenobu and the following
oppression on her supporters and activists
are political thought suppressions by the
public safety authorities without any definit
evidence or in the name of minor offense.
I appeal to people and various movements
standing for the freedom of political activities,
thoughts and expressions to criticize and
protest against such suppression by which
the state power and public safety authorities
try to be negative and limit those freedoms.
I am for the voice of people who become aware
of the unjustness. Stop such unjust suppressions!
